A MAN’S body has been found in Lowestoft.
Police were called just before 3.20pm this afternoon by a member of the public reporting the body on the ground underneath the footbridge over Bloodmoor Road in Lowestoft. It appears the man may have hung himself from the structure.
The road was closed by police and is likely to remain closed for some time while initial inquiries get underway at the scene.
The body is believed to be that of a man in his late 50s and at this stage, as is standard procedure, the death is being treated as unexplained although there are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances.
Anyone who saw anything in the area around this time is asked to call Suffolk Police on 101.
