Lowestoft: Police make arrest in connection with robbery of an 88-year-old in churchyard

A man has been arrested in connection with a robbery in Lowestoft yesterday.
An 88-year-old man had been hit across the back of his head with a glass bottle whilst in St Margaret’s Churchyard.
He also had his wallet stolen during the attack.
This morning officers arrested a 44-year-old man from the town on suspicion of robbery and theft from a shop.
He is being held for questioning at the Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre.
