Police are appealing for witnesses after a 25-year-old woman was approached and asked for money on Friday.
The incident happened in a car park at Bridge Road at around 2.40pm.
The young woman was approached by a man and asked for money. When she refused he became abusive towards her.
Police are asking anyone who saw the incident to contact Pc Mark Sargeant at Lowestoft on 101.
