A teenager from Lowestoft has been arrested for possessing a replica gun and cannabis.
The 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of possession of cannabis with intent to supply and possession of an imitation firearm after police seized a rucksack containing a replica gun, a knife and a quantity of cannabis.
Officers on patrol in London Road South spotted the teenager yesterday evening and stopped to speak to him but he ran off.
He was detained a short time later and police also located a rucksack containing items including one large bag and several small bags of cannabis, a wallet, a grinder, electronic scales, phones and the weapons.
The teenager has been taken into custody where he will be interviewed by officers about the finds.
