Macmillan Cancer Support is sending its ‘Dougie’ bus to Notcutts garden centre in Woodbridge to offer free, specialist information for people affected by cancer, as well as those who are worried about their risk and symptoms.
The bus will be at the centre in Ipswich Road on Thursday, November 2 from 10am to 4pm.
Staff on board will be ready to answer questions and offer support on topics such as cancer screening, treatments, as well as financial and employment advice. There will also be free leaflets to take away on the day.
Wendy Marchant, a Macmillan information and support specialist on the unit, said: “We’re here to answer any of your questions about cancer.
“If you want to know what symptoms to look out for, need information about managing the side effects of your treatment, or want to find local support for carers, come along and see us. We’d be happy to help.”
