LEISTON: A big game for the Ridgeons League club on Saturday when they fly the Ridgeons League flag in their home FA Cup fourth qualifying round game against Blue Square South strugglers Dartford.

Two years ago, under the management of Carl Chenery, Leiston beat Lewes who were then in the Blue Square Premier, at this stage before losing to Fleetwood in the first round proper.

Victory for Mark Morsley’s side at the weekend will lead to dreams of a visit from a Southampton, Sheffield Wednesday or Charlton say in next Monday’s draw.

Magical times, and congratulations to midfielder Gareth Heath who was one of the five nominated players for the E.ON ‘player of the round’ award after netting a hat-trick in the third qualifying round win over North Greenford United - his second hat-trick of the competition and his ninth goal in this year’s FA Cup.

If successful Gareth will receive a commemorative trophy and two VIP tickets to the FA Cup final on May 14.
