Man accused of rail offences

British Transport police have charged a man with trespassing on the railway and a theft-related offence.

Simon Scott is accused of railway trespass and going equipped in order to steal from the railway.

He is also charged with breach of bail.

Scott, 42, of no fixed abode, is due to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on Friday.

Last December the train service from Norwich to London suffered disruption due to problems caused by unauthorised people near the rail line.
