CLAYDON A young paedophile is today facing the prospect of a prison sentence after admitting 18 child pornography charges.

Daniel Lintott, of Lancaster Way, is believed to have downloaded more than 20,000 still and moving images.

The exact figure was not specified when the 23-year-old pleaded guilty, however it was said that a considerable amount were at the two most serious gradings of child pornography.

Adjourning sentencing at Ipswich Crown Court, Judge David Goodin told Lintott: “The offences to which you pleaded guilty are serious ones and are overwhelming likely, in my judgement, to you losing your liberty.”

Lintott, a director of a small computer company, admitted 16 charges of making indecent photographs of a child on July 27, 2007.

He also admitted possessing indecent photographs of children between March 31, 2007, and September 10, 2009.

Lintott pleaded guilty to a further charge. This was distributing indecent photographs of a child between March 31, 2007 and September 10, 2009.

Lintott was given unconditional bail until his sentencing which is scheduled for July 5.
