A 36-year-old gamekeeper charged in connection with an incident involving an air rifle outside a Stowmarket nightclub has been remanded in custody.
Taroe Westgate, 36, of Thirlmere Drive, Stowmarket, was remanded in custody by magistrates at Bury St Edmunds today in relation to a series of offences in and around the town in the early hours yesterday.
He faces a total of five charges including carrying an offensive weapon, making threats to kill at the Jokers night spot on Ipswich Road, Stowmarket, driving a vehicle with excess alcohol, failing to stop after a car accident and failing to report a car accident.
He was remanded in custody until he next appears at Ipswich Crown Court on June 26.
