AT just before 2am officers were called to a house in Albemarle Street in Harwich where a 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of robbery and causing grievous bodily harm.

The victim, a 24-year-old man from Harwich, was taken to Colchester General Hospital after ambulance staff found he had lost a lot of blood from a leg wound.

A police spokesman said the suspect had been remanded in custody at Clacton Police Station.
