Police have arrested a man in connection with a robbery at a shop in Maldon Road, Colchester.
Officers arrested a 21-year-old man on suspicion of robbery at around 12.20am today (Friday, August 18). He remains in custody for questioning.
At around 2.50pm on Wednesday, August 16, a man walked into the Golden News shop and threatened a member of staff with a broken bottle before demanding cash from the till.
He then fled the scene with a three-figure sum of cash.
