A 19-year-old man arrested after a teenager was stabbed in Ipswich last week has been released under investigation.

The 19-year-old, from Ipswich, was arrested on Sunday, August 26, on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm.

Police were called just before 8.10pm on Friday, August 24, to reports that a 19-year-old man had been attacked in the area of Cromer Road, near to the junction with Norwich Road.

Police have confirmed that the victim was attacked by “a group of three or more males”, and are treating the stabbing as targeted.

His injuries, including stab wounds, are not considered to be life-threatening.

Detectives are continuing to appeal for any witnesses to the incident, or people who were driving in the area with a dash cam fitted to their vehicle.
