Man arrested following alleged murder is re-bailed

A BURY St Edmunds man arrested following the launch of a murder inquiry has had his bail extended.

The 26-year-old was arrested on May 18 on suspicion of perverting the course of justice in connection with the murder inquiry following the death of Patrick Baker in Sudbury in April.

Mr Baker’s body was discovered in his flat in Blackfriars on April 10 after police were called by a neighbour concerned for his safety.

The man arrested was released on police bail to return to Bury Police Station today, but he must now return on August 11.

Two men have been charged with murder, and a 38-year-old man from Sudbury was arrested on suspicion of murder and released on police bail to return to Ipswich Police Station on July 8.
