A man has been arrested in connection with an incident in Braintree.

A 40-year-old man was sitting in his car outside Toby Carvery, off the B1256 at Notley Cross, at about 11.40am on September 7 when he was approached by a man who tried to punch him.

A 32-year-old man from Bristol was then arrested in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, yesterday on suspicion of making threats to kill.

He is currently in custody for questioning.
