Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was attacked by a gang of young men armed with a metal pole in Bury St Edmunds.
The assault happened at around 6.45pm on Friday, December 22, in a park area near Hodson Close on the Howard Estate.
A police spokesman said: “The victim, a male in his mid 40s, was assaulted by a group of young males with a metal pole.”
One of the suspects is described as white, with blond hair, around 5ft 4ins tall and aged in his late teens.
During the attack the victim suffered a cut and bruising to his face.
He was later taken to hospital for a check-up as a precaution.
