A KESGRAVE man who had sex with a schoolgirl and made her pregnant has been spared an immediate prison sentence.

Carl Boyer was 17 when he had sex on one occasion during a holiday romance with a 14-year-old girl, Ipswich Crown Court heard.

Boyer, who is now 21, of Bugsby Way, Kesgrave admitted sexual activity with a child and was given a 43 week jail term suspended for two years and made the subject of a two year supervision order.

Charles Kellett, prosecuting, said Boyer had sexual intercourse with the girl on one occasion which had led to her becoming pregnant.

Jude Durr, for Boyer, said his relationship with the 14-year-old girl had been a holiday romance. He was now in a relationship with a woman and had a son with her.
