Man charged after failure to stop after crash in Old Road, Clacton

A man arrested following a crash in Clacton has been charged with a string of offences.

Steven Hughes, 30, of Meadow Way in Clacton was arrested in the early hours of this morning, on suspicion of careless driving, failing to stop and failing to report an injury at a road traffic accident in Old Road, on Saturday, September 2.

He was taken into custody and has been charged with driving while disqualified, driving with no insurance, careless driving, failing to stop after an accident, and failing to report an injury in a road traffic accident.

He has been released on bail and is due to appear at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, September 26.
