A MAN arrested following a collision between a car and a police patrol car in Lowestoft has been charged with two offences.

A MAN arrested following a collision between a car and a police patrol car in Lowestoft has been charged with two offences.

Christopher Standen, of Priory Close, St Olaves, has been charged with failing to stop a vehicle when required to do so by police and failing to provide a specimen. He was released on bail and is due to appear at Lowestoft Magistrates' Court on March 17.

Two special constables suffered serious, but not life-threatening injuries in the collision, which happened at about 1.45am on February 14 at the junction of Tom Crisp Way and Lowestoft Road.

The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) is currently overseeing an investigation into the crash.
