A Suffolk man has today been charged with death by careless driving while unfit through drink, after a fatal crash on the A146 at Worlingham in April.

Shawn Smith, 41, of High Leas, Beccles, is due to appear before Lowestoft magistrates on November 9.

The 41-year-old is also accused of having no insurance for the Porsche he was said to have been driving.

Brian Hunter-Lindsay, 46, died after the Porsche 911 Targa he was a passenger in left the A146, just before 2.45am April 11, and collided with roadside trees and vegetation before returning to the road where there was a second collision involving a green Vauxhall Astra.
