A 43 year old man from Surrey has been charged with attempted murder following an incident at a Newmarket funeral on June 4.
Thomas Frankham, of Stovolds Hill in Cranleigh, Surrey, has been remanded in custody, to appear before Sudbury Magistrates tomorrow.
The alleged attack involved a man in his 30s, who was attending a funeral at the cemetery, just off High Street, Newmarket. He was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge, with head injuries. He has since left hospital and is recovering at his home in Lincolnshire.
