Man charged with attempted murder after teen and 24-year-old stabbed

A man will appear in court today charged with attempted murder after two people were stabbed in Dovercourt.

Mobin Iqbal, 43, of Kingsway, Dovercourt, has been charged with attempted murder, aggravated burglary and GBH with intent following an incident at an address in Kingsway on Tuesday (September 22).

A 17-year-old girl and a 24-year-old man were stabbed inside the property and were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect will appear at Chelmsford Magistrates Court today.

A 38-year-old man from Dovercourt arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been released without charge.
