A man has been charged with dangerous driving after a car collided with a stopped marked police vehicle on the A12 at Melton.
Joseph Ellis, 25, was arrested following the incident shortly after 5.30pm on Thursday.
A Volkswagen Golf crashed into the stationary police car at the side of the road, at the roundabout junction with the A1152.
An officer inside the car at the time suffered minor injuries.
Ellis, of Upper Melton Terrace, Melton, has been charged with dangerous driving, assaulting a police officer and using threatening behaviour.
He appeared before Bury St Edmunds Magistrates’ Court on Saturday and was remanded in custody ahead of his next court appearance at Ipswich Crown Court on March 31.
