A 40-YEAR-OLD has today been charged with the murder of mother-of-three Mary Griffiths.
Suffolk police have confirmed that John McFarlane, from the Bury St Edmunds area, was arrested this morning and taken to Bury police station where he has been formally charged with murder.
McFarlane, who police say was arrested at a location in Norfolk, has been remanded in custody and will appear before magistrates in Bury this lunchtime.
Mrs Griffiths, 38, was found seriously injured at her home in Bullrush Crescent, Bury, early on the morning of May 6 and was taken to West Suffolk Hospital where she died a short time later.
