A man charged with drink-driving, drug-driving, dangerous driving and failing to stop for police is due to appear in court in Ipswich this morning.
Edward Harvey, of The Street, Earl Soham, has been charged with four offences: drink driving with 72 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath; dangerous driving on Swallow Road, Hawthorn Drive and the A14 slip road and Nacton exit; failing to stop for police on Swallow Road; and driving a motor vehicle with a proportion of a controlled drug – cannabis – above the specified limit.
The 20-year-old was arrested after police on patrol in Ipswich noticed a vehicle in the Greenfinch Avenue area around 11.40pm on March 7.
He is now due to appear at South East Suffolk Magistrates’ Court in Ipswich this morning.
