The trial of a man accused of attempted murder following a serious incident in Suffolk in which a man was shot multiple times will take place in March next year.

The victim, aged in his 30’s, was seen staggering with injuries in High Street, Lowestoft, around 1.20pm on August 27 after a group of people allegedly broke into his home with weapons and stole cash.

He was treated for gunshot wounds to his back and neck, which required surgery to remove multiple pellets.

Before Ipswich Crown Court today for a plea and trial preparation hearing via a prison video link was Thomas Dale, 19, of no fixed abode who pleaded not guilty to attempting to murder Andrew Price.

He also denied aggravated burglary by entering a flat in High Street, Lowestoft on August 27 with an imitation firearm and stealing cash.

Also before the court was Daniel Howarth, 25, of Carlton Square, Carlton Colville, who also pleaded not guilty to aggravated burglary.

Their trial will take place on March 5.
