A MAN from Essex has denied the manslaughter of his girlfriend who died when she was struck by a train.

Darren Palmer, of Clacton, appeared at Chelmsford Crown Court this morning to enter a not guilty plea following the death of mother-of-two Kelly Mack.

Miss Mack, 29, died following an incident on a crossing at Hythe station, Colchester, on March 27.

Palmer was remanded in custody and will face trial in early January next year.
