A woman who was raped in an Ipswich park after leaving a party was left physically shaking after the attack, it has been alleged.
The woman was allegedly grabbed by Luke Chaplin after leaving a party at Whitton United FC’s clubhouse, known as “The Shed”, with him, Ipswich Crown Court heard.
During the alleged attack in May last year Chaplin ignored the woman’s protests and attempts to wriggle out from underneath him and raped her, said Andrew Thompson, prosecuting.
After he got off her she was extremely scared what he might do next and had been physically shaking, said Mr Thompson.
Chaplin, 20, of Byron Road, Ipswich has denied raping the woman in May last year and assault by penetration.
The court heard that despite his protestations that he hadn’t had any contact with the alleged victim on the night in question his DNA was found on her underwear and her DNA was found on his penis. The trial continues.
