A PENSIONER has died after being found in the River Orwell.
Suffolk police say they think the 67-year-old, believed to be from Mid Suffolk, may have been on a boat by himself and fell into the water.
He was found in the river at about 11.20am yesterday, north of the Orwell Bridge. He was still alive at the time and was taken by boat to Fox's Marina in Wherstead. He was transferred to Ipswich Hospital by ambulance but later died.
Police officers are speaking to witnesses and investigations are continuing.
