A 26-YEAR-OLD man charged with causing £20,000 worth of damage to a Suffolk pub appeared in court today.

Jonathan Creighton, from Jubilee Crescent, Stowupland, near Stowmarket, appeared before magistrates at Bury St Edmunds this morning.

Creighton is charged with three offences on October 7 this year after the incident at the retreat pub in Stowupland.

He faces charges of causing criminal damage to the Greene King pub, affray, and being in possession of a knife.

Creighton was released on bail after the brief hearing on the condition that he does not contact witnesses or go near the tavern.

His case will now go back before magistrates at Bury from 10am on December 16 for committal to crown court.
