A MAN is believed to have died after a “severe” fire swept through a Suffolk house.
Three fire crews were called to Exeter Road, Newmarket, at just before 2.15pm today after receiving reports that the first floor of the property was well alight.
A turn-table ladder and a support unit was also requested.
A man was rescued from the scene, however he is believed to have later died.
Suffolk police was called to the property at 2.23pm, while firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze.
