FOUR men have been arrested after a man was found with life-threatening injuries in Orwell Country Park.

Emergency services were called at 3.54pm to the Nacton park and a man in his 20’s was taken to Ipswich Hospital with multiple, life-threatening injuries.

He is being transferred to Addenbrookes Hospital.

A spokeswoman for Suffolk police said: “Officers and the police helicopter attended and searched the surrounding area, and at 5.10pm four men were arrested in Bixley Road in connection with the incident.”

The men – a 17-year-old, two 18-years-old and a 20-year-old , all from Ipswich – have been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm with intent and are currently in custody at Ipswich Police Station.

Officers, including scenes of crime officers, remain at the park this evening to examine the area and carry out further inquiries.
