Firefighters freed a man at a building site near Newmarket this morning after he became trapped under some roofing.
Two fire crews from Bury St Edmunds and one from Newmarket attended the incident at the Lodge Park building site in Herringswell Road, Kentford, around 9.40am following reports a man had got his leg stuck in roof trusses.
Firefighters freed the man by 10.20am and he was left in the care of the East of England Ambulance Service.
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: “We were called to reports a patient was trapped under building materials in Herringswell Road, Kentford, this morning.
“One ambulance, one rapid response vehicle and one BASICS clinician attended the scene. One patient was treated for non-life threatening injuries and taken to hospital for further treatment.”
