Police were called to an address in Wingate Close on Saturday morning

A 24-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of GBH and criminal damage following an incident in St John's Street, Bury St Edmunds, last month.

On Monday, December 28, a 23-year-old man sustained a serious injury to his wrist that required surgery after going through a shop window during an altercation in St John’s Street at around 12.30am.

Police issued CCTV images of a man they wanted to speak to yesterday and a man handed himself into Bury Police Station last night.

The 24-year-old was arrested and bailed until March 16 to allow further enquiries to be carried out.
