A MAN was seen by paramedics after he was struck on the head by a cricket ball that had been hit for six.
The man, in his 60s, was playing bowls at the Mistley and Manningtree Bowls Club in New Road, Mistley, this afternoon when the ball flew on to the green after being knocked out of the ground at the cricket club, next door.
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: “We were called to New Road at just before 4.30pm. Reports were that a man had been injured by a ball.
“The man, in his 60s, had been taking part in bowls at the club and a ball had struck him on the head. The patient declined further treatment and was left at the scene.”
