Man in court over £5k pub damage

A MAN has appeared in court to face criminal damage and affray charges relating to an incident at a Suffolk pub.

A MAN has appeared in court to face criminal damage and affray charges relating to an incident at a Suffolk pub.

Jonathan Creighton of Jubilee Crescent, Stowupland near Stowmarket, is charged with affray and possessing a bladed article in a public place - namely a kitchen knife - as well as criminal damage to property valued over £5,000.

He was charged after an incident at the Retreat pub in Stowupland in October.

Creighton, 26, who did not enter a plea, appeared before magistrates in Bury St Edmunds this morning where he was told his case would be sent to Ipswich Crown Court on January 16.
