A MAN appeared in court at the weekend charged with the murder of a mother-of-three at a caravan park.

Lisa Sullivan, 41, was found strangled to death in a caravan at Martello Caravan Park, Walton-on-the-Naze, earlier this week.

Terry Game, 33, of Stanstead Abbots, Hertfordshire, appeared before Chelmsford Magistrates' Court on Saturday, charged with the murder of Ms Sullivan.

He was remanded in custody and is due back at magistrates' court on August 16.

Ms Sullivan, of Scott Avenue, Stanstead Abbots, was staying in a caravan at the base of the Martello tower with her three young sons, all aged under 10.

Emergency services were called to the caravan park at about noon on Wednesday after one of her sons ran to the caravan park shop saying he could not wake his mummy.

One of Ms Sullivan's relatives, Paul Sullivan, paid tribute to the victim on behalf of all the family.

He said: "Lisa was a loving mother to her three boys and this is a very sad time for all of us. She will be sadly missed by myself and her mother, Sylvia."

A resident at the caravan park said Ms Sullivan had been staying at the site for about five weeks. She said: "She was a good-looking girl."

Game was arrested on Thursday afternoon in Hertfordshire. He was transported to a police station in Essex for questioning.
