One person has been arrested after a man was pushed to the floor and kicked in the head at a popular nightclub in Sudbury.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was injured in an assault at the Infinity nightclub in East Street, Sudbury.

The incident happened between 3am and 3.20am on Sunday, July 8.

The victim, a man in his 20s, was pushed to the floor and kicked in the head by another man – sustaining a cut to his head and bruising to his face.

A short time later, officers arrested a 26-year-old man on suspicion of assault. He was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning and has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.

Police would be keen to speak to anyone who may have seen the incident take place between the times stated.
