A robber punched a man unconscious as he was walking home from an east Suffolk pub and then stole his wallet, police said.
The 24-year-old victim was returning from the Coopers Dip pub in Saxmundham at around 6.50pm on Monday when he was attacked on a footpath, which runs next to Brook Farm Road.
“The victim was punched to the head which left him unconscious for a short while with his wallet containing cash stolen in the incident,” a police spokesman said,
“He was taken to Ipswich hospital for treatment to his head injuries before returning home in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
