A YOUNG man was victim of a street robbery which happened in broad daylight in Wivenhoe.
The 20-year-old victim was walking along the town's High Street was between Spar and the Co-op when he was approached by a man who said he had a knife and forced him to hand over his wallet and mobile phone.
Police are appealing for information about the robbery, which happened at about 1.20 pm on Friday.
The suspect is described as white, aged about 25, 5ft 10ins tall, of slim build, with short dark hair.
He was clean shaven and wearing a black v-necked long sleeve top and dark blue jeans.
