A MAN is being questioned by police after lead was stolen from the roof of an Ipswich car park.
Suffolk police were called to Foundation Street, Ipswich, at 11.23am today after receiving reports of a man taking lead from the car park roof.
A spokesman for Suffolk police said: “The caller wasn’t aware of any contractors in the area and could see the man on the roof.
“After leaving the car park the man was seen running off towards Rosemary Lane.”
The suspect is currently in police custody.
