Police investigating a number of recent incidents in Wickham Market including a bus shelter being set alight have arrested a 26-year-old man from Saxmundham.

The man was detained on Wednesday July 18 on suspicion of arson, grievous bodily harm, criminal damage and making false reports to the police.

He was brought to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre where was questioned by detectives.

He was subsequently released under investigation on Thursday evening pending further enquiries.
