Man rescued from river

A MAN was rescued from a river this evening after throwing himself in.Emergency services were called to the Princes Street bridge in Ipswich shortly after 6pm.

A MAN was rescued from a river this evening.

Emergency services were called to the River Orwell, near the Princes Street bridge, in Ipswich, shortly after 6pm.

It is believed the man had a medical condition and he entered the water from the river bank. It is thought he received a neck injury which is not believed to be serious.
