FIREFIGHTERS rescued a man who was trapped by a fallen tree in a Suffolk village as high winds battered the region. Crews were called to an address in Yoxford Road, Sibton, at about 1.15pm.
FIREFIGHTERS rescued a man who was trapped by a fallen tree in a Suffolk village as high winds battered the region.
Crews were called to an address in Yoxford Road, Sibton, at about 1.15pm to help the man, fire service spokesman said.
He said the man had been hit by the tree and pinned to the ground as he unpacked shopping from his car.
He received head and back injuries and was taken to hospital by ambulance.
