A MAN with a broken leg was rescued from a yacht in the River Deben this afternoon.
Coastguards received a call from the Felixstowe Ferry harbourmaster shortly after 1.30pm reporting that a man had a broken leg on board a yacht called Dr No moored in the River Deben.
The Harwich inshore lifeboat was mobilised to the incident. A paramedic was put on board the lifeboat and once they reached the yacht they stabilised the man's condition. He was taken back to shore and taken to hospital in an ambulance.
