The man was threatened with a baseball bat when he was surrounded by three men at St Mark Drive, near the junction with St Christopher Road, in Colchester at about 11.45am today. Three men, two in their 20s and the other in his late teens or early 20s, all ran off along St Christopher Road.

Ds Mark Merry said: “This is a nasty incident in which the victim was left unharmed but badly shaken. It is being treated as a racially aggravated incident because of the nature of the threats made to the victim. We want to hear from anyone who saw the incident or saw the three men running away.”
