A MAN was robbed at the entrance of a post office as he arrived to pay in business takings.

The 26-year-old had arrived at the Kesgrave post office in Penzance Road at just before 10am today when he stopped to let an older man come out the door.

At the same time a man brushed past him and grabbed his cash bag, running away with it down Oregon Road.

Police said the robber was white, in his late teens to early 20s, around 6ft tall, and was wearing light coloured - possibly cream or grey - top, dark jogging bottoms with at least one white stripe down the side and a dark coloured baseball cap.

Officers believe the area was busy at the time and want to hear from anyone who witnessed the crime or saw the offender.

They also want to hear from the older man who the victim let out of the post office as he arrived.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Woodbridge CID on 01473 613500 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
