A kitchen window of a house in Colchester was smashed moments before a man was seen running away from the property.
Police are investigating the incident, which happened in Drury Road at around 5.20pm on Thursday, December 11.
The householder was home at the time and went to investigate the noise. They saw a man outside who then ran off.
Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area is asked to call Dc Andrea Ford at Colchester Police Station on 101. People can also call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
