Man assaulted with baseball bat during Colchester burglary

A man has suffered a suspected broken arm after two men raided his home in Colchester and assaulted him with a baseball bat.
According to a spokesman for Essex Police the men gained entry to an address in Sterling Close at around 9.50pm on Sunday, April 29.
Once inside they assaulted a man, hitting him with a baseball bat, before making away with a quantity of jewellery.
The spokesman added: “The victim suffered a suspected broken arm as well as cuts and serious bruising over his body.”
