A man who collapsed in Harwich High Street this afternoon is believed to have suffered a stroke, according to ambulance staff.
The East of England Ambulance Service was called shortly before 1.30pm to reports that a man had collapsed in High Street, Harwich.
Two ambulance crews and Essex and Herts Air Ambulance attended to treat the man, believed to be in his 70s.
An ambulance service spokesman said he had a suspected stroke.
He was treated at the scene before being taken by land ambulance to Colchester General Hospital for further care.
