Man taken to hospital after crash between car and pedestrian on A12 near Colchester

A man was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash involving a car and pedestrian on the A12 near Colchester at the weekend.

Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the crash.

The incident took place on Easter Sunday around 8.50pm when a vehicle collided with a pedestrian at junction 28.

Anyone who may have passed the junction at that time, or who has dashcam footage, is asked to call 101 and ask for PC Jonathan McDonald of the Stanway roads policing unit.
